After School Routine of A Muslim Teen(Ramadan edition)
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Welcome back to 'diaryofanoverthinker' in spirit of Ramadan I'm going to be sharing with you what I do after school in Ramadan as a muslim teen. So sit back, relax and enjoy.
Getting home
so since it's Ramadan I've been coming out of school earlier than normal so by the time I actually get home it's 15:00/15:30. When I get home I usually change and just try and freshen up since I feel exhausted.
Homework/Chilling
So by now most of my tests are done and it's just Orals left hence I don't get that much homework which is better for me. Honestly I just chill for a bit because naturally I'm tired and if I have homework I'll do some of that.
Whether it's homework or just lazing around this only lasts an hour as I still have lots to do before Iftaar.
Salaah,Qur'an etc
After a nice refreshing shower I decide to read my Asr Salaah and recite some Qur'an for my Khatam to pass the time till Iftaar. After reading for a little while I make Dua and the decide to go chill with the family, set the table and talk to some friends to pass the remaining time till Iftaar.
Mahgrib and Iftaar
When the time to break my fast finally comes I usually break it with a date and water while snacking on something small. After breaking my fast with something simple I go preform my Mahgrib Salaah before retiring to the table to eat my actual food.
After eating to my full I help clear up the table and relax for a bit with my family or again text some friends depending on the day.
Taraweeh
After relaxing for some time my dad leaves for the Masjid and my mum and I get ready to read our Isha and Taraweeh. Once we're done we usually make Dua, read Qur'an and have a little Tafseer session of one of the short surahs.
This is one of my favourite parts of Ramadan nights but also the most tiering .
The rest of the night
Once I'm done with all my acts of worship for the evening I spend time reading a novel while waiting for my dad to come back from the masjid. When he returns we go have a light snack while laughing and talking about the days events. After we sit together either watching an Islamic talk, reading or just spending time together.
Once we're done with this it's usually quite late and I'm quite tired which means it's time to go to bed and prepare to wake up early and start my next fast
well that's my after school routine in Ramadan. I hope you enjoyed today's blog and you're Ramadan is going well. As always if you have any questions feel free to ask at adiaryofanoverthinker@gmail.com
until next time
