Cancelled Umrah Trip
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Welcome to 'diaryofanoverthinker'.I’m so sorry for not writing last week , I was sick and trying to recover so I could fast again. But I’m back this week to yap about my Umrah trip being cancelled and the fact that I actually had to go to school.
Sooo as you guys know, I was supposed to go on Umrah for the last 10 nights of Ramadan. And sure, that would’ve meant missing some school and a few tests, but I’d already come to terms with that and was actually super excited about it.
But then I got sick last week, like really sick. I started getting worried about whether I’d even recover in time to leave, because we were supposed to fly out last weekend. On top of that, there was also uncertainty about whether we’d even be able to go because of the war in the Middle East.
One of my classmates’ parents actually managed to go, which gave me some hope. But they flew with Ethiopian Air, and we had booked with Emirates. Long story short… we weren’t able to go.
And then I had to go to school for the last three days...and actually write math which was kinda depressing.
I’m honestly really sad we didn’t get to go because I was looking sooo forward to this trip. It felt like the perfect way to spend the last 10 nights of Ramadan, and after last year it was something I really wanted to experience again.
But sadly we can’t go, and I have to stay home.
But yeah… what can you do? I hope you enjoyed today’s blog. I hope everyone has an amazing last 10 nights and that your Ramadan is going smoothly.
Until next time
