Exam Updates

Hey and welcome to 'diaryofanoverthinker' today I will be talking about how my exams have been and basically updating you on how the goals are going. Before I start I just wanted to apologise for not posting last week but I was really busy with exams and I also had plans so I didn't really get time. I also hope everyones exams were/are going well and that everyone is doing great. Now that that's done sit back, relax and enjoy me yap about the weeks of terror.

Studying

1. Procrastination
This goal was a 50/50. On one hand, I did procrastinate less compared to before, which is a win. But on the other hand, I still found myself slipping into old habits, especially during the last week when we mainly had Islaamiyaat papers. So overall, it wasn’t terrible, but it definitely wasn’t perfect either.

2. Sticking to a Timetable
This one was actually a success. During the first week of exams, I followed my timetable exactly as planned. I studied what I was supposed to, when I was supposed to, and I was honestly so proud of myself. The second week was more relaxed because as I said it was mostly Islaamiyaat, but even then, I stuck to the plan for the most part.

3. Actually Studying at School
This was the biggest surprise—in a good way. We genuinely studied at school and made the most of our study periods. Even my friends and I, who usually get distracted, were focused and working hard. And when I say we studied, I don’t mean just cramming five minutes before the exam—I mean real study sessions during our allocated time. It made a big difference.

4. Waking Up Early
Unfortunately, I got a bit sick last week, which made waking up early a challenge. But considering how I was feeling, I still managed to wake up relatively early and get a decent amount of work done. So while it wasn’t ideal, I’m still happy with the effort I put in under the circumstances.

Overall

1. Diet
Okay, I’ll be real—I didn’t even try very hard with this one. I was having snacks on snacks, but in my defense, it was cold and I was stressed. So honestly, you can’t really judge me for this one. It just wasn’t happening, and that’s okay.

2. Exercise
As I mentioned before, I was sick last week, so running was completely off the table. BUT I picked it back up this week and have been really consistent. Considering I took a full week off, I’m pretty proud of myself for bouncing back. So honestly, this one feels like a win—because if I hadn’t gotten sick, I definitely would’ve kept it up the whole time.

3. Sleep
My sleep was surprisingly solid. I got around 8 to 9 hours most nights, which is a huge achievement, especially during exams. There were a few nights where sleep didn’t come easily, but for the most part, my schedule was steady and healthy. Definitely one of the stronger areas this time around.

So that's basically how my exams went. They were stressful and horrendous but its almost over I only have 2 left. Honestly I'm quite proud of how these exams went so yeah. I hope you enjoyed todays blog and again I hope everyones exams have been good.

until next time
