After School Routine of A Muslim Teenager

After School Routine of A Muslim Teenager

Hii and welcome back to diaryofanoverthinker! I hope everyone’s having a great start to term 4. Today I’m going to be writing about my after school routine as a Muslim teen this will include sallah, school work, food, family time and me time. This is also going to be based on my term 4 routine since that’s my most recent one so sit back relax and enjoy!

P.S feel free to use this routine if you find it helps spread out your life and gives time for deen as that’s the most important factor.

Getting Home

So starting off I usually get home at about 16:00 unless there’s traffic or something but majority of the time it’s 16:00. I then change into something comfortable as I have lots of work to do since its term 4 and you need to be comfortable while doing so, I usally wear and oversized hoodie or t-shirt depending on the weather.

Next I make a small snack or eat any lunch I have left because I’m usually hungry and a light snack will keep me energized till dinner. While I eat I usually talk to my mum and tell her about my day or what work I have etc.

Work/studying

Ok so now that I’m comfortable and no longer hungry I start my work to since my teacher has started a 21 day math revision program but I also have homework form other subjects I tend to start with the homework as that usually isn’t a lot and only take a few minutes.

Once I’m done I start with my math revision which has been

1.     Finish my worksheets which I started in class so it’s not that much

2.     Mark if the memo has been put up on google classroom

3.     Watch the recording for the next day while making notes

Once I’m done with those 3 simple parts of my math revision it’s usually getting late and even though I need to go over my notes I’m tired and need to pray sallah so I pack up my stuff and end the work for the afternoon.

Sallah,Quraan etc

Once I’m all packed up I go take a shower so I’m all clean and ready for sallah. After I shower I read my Asr sallah followed by dua and then going over my Surahs, learing a new ayaat, or both I usually do this up until Maghrib time and then perform my Maghrib sallah.

Dinner,Isha and family time

After sallah my mum and I usually wait for my dad to come home and we usually talk, I read or check my messages and tell my mum random stuff about my day. Once my dad comes home we go downstairs and eat dinner while talking and just spending time together.

After dinner I help my mum clean up, I then spend some time with my parents before going upstairs to perform Isha and make dua. Once that’s done I have a small snack and some time with my parents before heading to bed so I’m refreshed for the next day.

I hope you enjoyed my after school routine and it helped you in some small way. As always if you have any questions feel free to ask at adiaryofanoverthinker@gmail.com

 Until next time
