Kwantu

Kwantu

Hey and welcome to 'diaryofanoverthinker today I will be telling you about my experience at the Kwantu game reserve over the long weekend. So sit back, realx and enjoy me yapping about my trip!

Animals

The highlight of this whole trip was obviously all the animals I saw. I've been to Kwantu twice before, but this time I had the most incredible sightings yet. I saw so many baby animals—it was truly amazing, and they were absolutely adorable. I also spotted a lot of beautiful birds and ducks, which was especially exciting for me because, if you don’t already know, I absolutely love ducks!

What made it even more special was seeing so many baby lions and elephants—I've never seen that many before. They were beyond cute! Baby lions are incredibly playful, and it really makes you wonder why we’re so afraid of them as adults.

Some of the other animals I saw included loads of springboks, buffaloes, kudus, wildebeest monkeys, zebras, meerkats, giraffes, cows, termites, and so many more. It was honestly such a fun experience, and I enjoyed it way more than I expected to.

Food

For all my fellow bigbacks out there—this place is 100% for us! While the buffets might not have as many options as some other hotels, the food was absolutely amazing. I honestly enjoyed it way more than at other places I’ve stayed. And let’s not forget the daily tea time! I swear I didn’t even get a chance to feel hungry because I was eating almost every second of the day. If I wasn’t eating, I was either on a game drive or fast asleep. So seriously, if you're a bigback, this is the place for you!

Overall experience

Honestly I had so much of fun here because the hotel is honestly amazing they have so many activities along with a game room and mulitope lounges(one with a fireplace) where you can just relax and read or chill with your family. There's also a jungle gym and a lot of space to just walk around and get some fresh air. Honestly you'd think you'd be bored and there considering when you're not on a game drive you might have nothing to ado but honestly it was really relaxing and I had so much of fun.

The drive there is a bit long but it was definitely worth it and I hope to go back again soon.

Well that's all for today, I'm sorry for the short blog but honestly I don't have much more to say but that this lodge is absolutely amazing. Thank you for reading!

until next time
