My favourite movie

My favourite movie

hey and welcome back to 'diaryofanoverthinker' today I shall be telling you about the best movie to ever exists(in my humble opinion that is). Now I honestly didn't know what to write about today until I was finishing an episode of CSI that I slept on last night. That episode so happened to remind me of this very movie due to the similar plot. So when my dad said to write about the whole 9 circles of hell I decided to take a similar approach and talk about my favourite movie se7en.

How I got introduced to this movie

ok so it was a normal Saturday night and my parents and I were looking for a movie to watch, it was getting kinda late and as we all know after awhile finding a movie the whole family will enjoy is difficult to say the least. So after awhile my dad showed us se7en and said "C'mon guys lets just watch this it's a brilliant movie" so my mum and I agreed but I can't lie I was hesitant because I hadn't really been in my thriller loving phase yet.

Anyways we started the movie and since it was already quite late my parents were asleep within the first few minutes but I decided to carry on watching anyways. My dad was honestly half watching and after awhile I got really into it and was wide awake even when it finished which was at around 23:00. Now this is how my obsession began.

The obsession

Now that'd I'd watched it I absolutely loved it and the very next day watched yet another thriller my dad suggest being 'Taking Lives' now I can't lie I actually liked that movie a lot but it was not comparing to se7en at all. The holiday that followed this event lead to me watching 'zodiac' which was also really good and I love how it was based on a real story and all but it just wasn't the same.

So after awhile I just decided to rewatch it like I do with all my favourite movies and shows and honestly I kinda became obsessed, I started noticing things I didn't the first time I knew the proper order and everything. Honestly I've wanted this movie so many times I've by hearted it and I know all the little details off the top of my head. I mean I even wanted to watch it for my birthday and that was the only plan I had and wanted.

I mean I even thought of a se7en themed birthday a few times like I have a cake and decorations and everything in my head. The only problem with that is that none of my friends have watched it and all they know is that I'm obsessed.

Why I like it

Now that we covered how much.i like it lets discuss the why. Ok so as I already mentioned this was the movie that got me into thriller movies and shows like CSI, I mean I did read murder mysteries before that but it's not quite the same.See with murder mysteries you're constantly trying to solve the murder because chances are you've known the killer the whole time now I know there's thrillers like that but I don't feel I look for the killer in those except for in zodiac because I'm telling you the murderer was the cartoonist guy(tell me if you want a blog on that).

However with se7en A. you didn't know the killer and B for once it wasn't a whole sob story with a whole proper reason to murder someone and then they got addicted or whatever he was a legit psychopath. Now genuinely I get the whole sob story thing adds to the plot and I'm not saying I don't enjoy that plot but the whole I'm just gonna kill people and use theirs sins as a reason to know who to kill and how was sooo good.

Now I have noticed that in a lot of shows or movies they use something similar just like the CSI episode that inspired todays blog.As much as I enjoy it when it does happen it still never feels quite the same but I don't I guess everyone just has that one movie that they really love and no one will truly understand why including them.

Anywhoo that was my blog I hope you enjoyed it and that someone reading this appreciates this cinematic masterpiece as much as me.Let me know if you want me to yap more about another movie like this because I will gladly do so. Also if you ever want to watch this movie I highly suggest watching it on a rainy day because trust me it matches the vibe of the movie.
