My Umrah Expectations

Welcome back to 'dairyofanoverthinker' since I will be going for Umrah(I'd actually already be there by the time you all read this) I will be writing about what I expect, what I'm nervous about, what I'm excited about etc. So sit back relax and enjoy!
What I Expect
Obviously, when you’ve dreamt of something for most of your life, you have certain expectations. But honestly, my main expectation for Umrah is to grow closer to Allah and strengthen my deen. More than anything, I just want to truly experience and enjoy it, and InshAllah, develop a longing to return again and again. After all, it’s such an amazing and blessed place, and I’ve been wanting to go for so long.
I’ve also learned so much about Makkah and Madinah through Islamic history, and once I’ve completed my Umrah, I would love to visit the historical sites I’ve read about and deepen my connection to their significance.
Why I'm nervous
Even though I’m beyond excited, there are also things that worry me. Firstly, I hate crowds—they tend to make me feel anxious and uncomfortable. But during Umrah, being in crowds is inevitable, and I’m honestly really nervous about how I’ll handle that.
I’m also worried about getting sick or feeling extremely exhausted. With so many people around and so much to do, it’s easy to become overwhelmed or unwell. While I know it will all be worth it, I can’t help but feel anxious about it.
Why I'm excited
The real question should be why wouldn’t I be excited? I’m excited to make Ibadah, strengthen my connection with my deen, and visit the incredible historical sites I’ve learned so much about. Honestly, I’m just beyond excited for everything I’m going to experience—the atmosphere, the spirituality, and the once-in-a-lifetime moments that will stay with me forever.
As if that excitement isn’t enough, I’m also going during Ramadan—a time when the blessings and rewards are multiplied. It’s truly every Muslim’s dream to be in Makkah and Madinah during this sacred month, and I can’t wait to experience the peace, the beauty, and the overwhelming sense of unity with fellow Muslims from all over the world.
Well that's today blog I hope you enjoyed it and I hope you're having an amazing Ramadan and an even better last 10 nights.
until next time
