Ramadan reflection,Eid plans, etc
السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ
Welcome back to 'diaryofanoverthinker' since the blessed month of Ramadan is almost over I'll be doing a small reflection on Ramadan as well as what I'm doing/what I expect from Eid. I hope you're all having an amazing lot 10 nights and are all ready and excited for Eid. Now sit back relax and enjoy!
What happened with the Ramadan goals?
Qur'an- So of course I read Qur'an everyday and it definitely improved my recitation. I didn't finish my Khatam yet but I'm really proud with how far I got and how much my recitation improved. As far as memorising the rest of Surah Mulk I didn't do that but I did revise what I already learned so the fluency, tajweed, etc improved. In my opinion that is way better than learning the whole Surah without mastering that. All in all I'm proud with my Qur'an reading this Ramadan and I do truly feel like it will make reading Qur'an out of Ramadan easier إن شاء الله.
Abayas - As far as Abayas go I wore them almost everyday except for one or two days. Honestly wearing Abaya felt so easy especially since whenever we went out there was lots of muslims also dressed in Islamic wear making it feel even better. I also quite enjoyed it and I might end up wearing them more often إن شاء الله.
Taraweeh- so I ended up doing this goal 50/50. I read all Rakaats sometimes but then there were nights were I was lazy, or wanted to read Qur'an instead but I didn't skip Taraweeh as a whole so that's good.
not overeating- simple answer here, I feel like I fully smashed this goal.
Strengthening my Imaan- honestly if you don't have a boost of Imaan in Ramadan then I don't know what you're doing with your life. Overall my Imaan was stronger and all Ibaadah felt easier. This year I do feel slightly closer to Deen than in past years and I'm proud of that.
Tafseer- this goal definitely went well and it was so amazing to learn the meanings of surahs I read everyday.
Eid
lets not lie who isn't excited for Eid. So this Eid is gonna be slightly different for me. Since people always say Ramadan and Eid are so amazing in Dubai I am going for that. In fact by the time you're reading this I'll already be there. I've never traveled in Ramadan or for Eid but I think it will be a fun experience that I cannot wait to share with you. Not to mention the amazing Eid outfit I can't wait to wear.
Soooo that was todays blog, be sure to check out nested weeks to get my review on Eid/Ramdan in Dubai. As always feel free to contact me at adiaryofanoverthinker@gmail.com and have and amazing last 10 nights and Eid.
until next time
