Random Book talk

Hey and welcome back to 'diaryofanoverthinker' I shall be doing yet another yap session revolving around books. Sa as you know I usually focus on one book or book series in these yap sessions and today I have picked two books that give me similar vibes Dead Poets Society and The Perks of Being a Wallflower series to talk about. So sit back, relax and enjoy!

Why I'm doing them together

The reason why I have 1 blog for both Dead Poets Society and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower instead of 2 separate ones is because of the feeling of similarity I get when reading them. They both have to do with.an English teacher coming and helping a teenaged boy/s and making they life better from a distance. They're also both modern classics and I think they both show important growth of characters along with having emotional plots that make it all the better. They're also both books that are surrounded and based of English and literature and I think I really appreciate that.

Dead Poets Society

absolutely loved both the book and the movie for the same reason. The quotes and the lessons you take away from the Dead Poets Society are incredibly deep, and they really highlight the importance of a good teacher in any teenager's life. The overall vibe and aesthetic of the story were just amazing—the time period, combined with the poetry and literature, came together so beautifully. It struck the perfect balance between the joy of friendship and the sadness of the ending, making it all feel incredibly impactful. I think many people use the quote 'carpe diem' in reference to the movie or book but I think only a few hear it and can be completely transformed back to that place and time of the books setting.

this is on of my favourite quotes soo

The Perks of Being A Wallflower

I loved this book so much because I feel I related to Charlie in some ways, Charlie’s struggle to understand himself and fit in felt so real, especially navigating the challenges of growing up. The themes of friendship, love, and finding your place in the world were something I could relate to deeply. I mean it even showed how he struggled to make new friends in high school and how he so desperately wanted his old friends back even though they were no longer the same people. The book’s honest portrayal of mental health, emotions, and the messiness of life made me feel seen and understood.I mean it showed him messing up and not knowing how to act around all his new friends and them still forgiving him and accepting him. I mean it's truly amazing to think that all of that happened to him after meeting 2 peers and a teacher who actually cared. In a weird way I'd like to think Charlie was writing to me as the reader because that just seems fitting and it also makes you feel part of the book making the reading experience so much better.

Overall

Honestly, if I ever wrote a book, I’d want it to be something like Dead Poets Society or The Perks of Being a Wallflower—a story that a young girl or boy picks up one day at a bookstore, starts reading, and is completely taken in by the world and characters. I’d want them to feel a deep connection, like they can truly relate to what’s unfolding on the page. I’d also want the book to have a similar vibe and aesthetic to these two, because I think that’s something really important for people my age.

Well that's all for today's hope you enjoyed my blog and if you have book recommendations similar to these pleas share them with me. As always feel free to contact me.at adiaryofanoverthinker@gmail.com.
