Studying tips

hey guys this is my first ever blog and since mid year exams are coming up i deceided to give you a few study tips :)

Now if you live in a place where exams take palce another time in the year please save this as it may be helpful.

One

The first tip is you need to set up a study timetable and stick to it. I personally love using Microsoft Excel but if you don't enjoy using Excel a few other methods would be making your own on paper (use colour to motivate you),use easy study (app)or use a calendar you can use a phsyical or the app.

I personally would prefer Excel or making a phsiycal timetable on paper as it allows you to be more specific on what you want to study and in what time zones.

Feel free to mess around with it till you find what you're comfortable with it.Make sure to add a reasonable amount of breaks and that you make time for revison the day before your exam.

A few examples will be below

Now that we covered how to make a timetable you need to learn to stick with it. A lot of the time when people hear stick with your timtable it makes the freak out because what if theres a change in plans or i need more time in a certain subject and less on another, sticking to your timetable means you should try your best. They will always be times where it changes slightly as you thought you would need more or less time on a subject than needed. When this happens you will need your best edting skills so you can breifly change your timetable but still have enough time for yourself and all other subjects.

Sadly i cannot advise you on how to do that because everyone has diffrent changes to be made but over time you will get better at it.

Two

Now that you have a timetable you need to have a method of studying.Of course everyone has their own unique way that works for them but one way I found helped me and a lot of my classmates was making summary notes key word make.

A lot if people buy study notes or use their friends but this won't be as helpful as actually writing them out.Now I know writting is tiering but it helps memorize things which is why it's helpful.

Another thing you should use when writing is colour like I said before it motivates you because then your notes look colourful and aesthically pleasing.

You should get books/folders and store all notes in there getting diffrent ones for diffrent subjects then keeping them is really helpful as then you only need to add on new topics each term.

Three

Set up breaks. Setting up breaks is a need when studying as you dont want to be burned out. When making breaks you should set them for long enough periods of time and keep it that way. I know its hard but when break time is over you need to get back to studying as when you exceed your break you wont get a lot done and you'll end up last minute cramming

Four

Lastly you need to pay aattention in class. Now I’m a student and I know how hard it can be to stop yourself from wondering into another universe. However you should try to stay focused as it will help you remember a lot of your work making studying easier.
