SPORTS DAYY!

SPORTS DAYY!

Hey, and welcome to 'diaryofanoverthinker'. Today I'm going to be telling you about my sports day that happened last night—so technically, sports night...?

Anyways, I was supposed to yap about My Life With The Walter Boys, buttt then the sports day was so bomb I had to come and yap about it. Because, as you guys know, when something awesome happens, I need to get it out of my system because my friends and family get tired of hearing me yap about the same thing again and again.(not like that stops me but shame I do feel kinda bad)

Races

So I'm going to get this part out of the way, because even though that's technically what sports day is about, that is NOT why any of us were there. And let's be real—it was really all about the vibes.

I ran every single race except hurdles (because I'm too short to do that stuff) and tug of war (because you could only have one person per grade, and someone else was better suited for that one). So yeah, I had a really busy night in terms of races and all, but it was honestly so fun—I can't lie.

Every race we did, my team did really well, and I was so proud. And honestly, I was proud of any of my friends/classmates—even if they were on another team—because in the end, who really cares?

War Cries/Cheers

Ok, so this requires a bit of backstory.

Last year, we did our usual entrance—you know, the one you have at the start of any sports day. My house (yellow), along with blue, just sang the usual war cries like “Turn on the Radio”, etc. But green? Green absolutely HUMBLED us with this amazing cheer—like, full-on cheerleaders and everything.

So this year, we had to up our game. And honestly, for all the houses, my class went all out.

First of all, let me just say—every single girl in my class looked drop-dead gorgeous. From the hair to the makeup to our cutesy little tutus... we were serving.

We were super stressed about the entrance though, and yeah, it was chaotic, and we probably looked a little dumb—but we had so much fun, and it honestly brought all of us way closer. So it’s fine... I guess.
(Green humbled us again though.)

Vibes

So now we’re getting to the best section—and also what’s going to be the longest: the vibes.

This was a neon light sports day, and even though we started early (like, before sunset), when the sun finally did set and the lights came on—yoh—the vibes skyrocketed.
(Not that there weren’t vibes already.)

We had pop-up stalls, LED and neon lights everywhere, all our old classmates came to support us, and of course, just the amazing energy that comes with it being super late and everyone letting go of any ounce of nonchalance they had.
(Not that I had much to begin with, but yk.)

We were making TikToks, taking pictures, screaming our lungs out, singing, and just vibing—whether it was with your classmates, friends from other schools, or even just people in your house—it was sooo fun. Even the pop-up stalls were such a nice touch and made the whole thing way more exciting.

I think what also really contributed to the vibe was the fact that—even with some slight drama here and there—our class is more united than ever. I think we’ve all just matured so much, and the fact that we could all just have fun together? It meant a lot.

For the first time ever, everyone was talking to everyone. It stopped being about the houses and just became about our class—and that made it all so much better.

I genuinely don’t think I can find the words to describe how damn fun last night was—and Yellow winning definitely made it even better for me.

Soo yeah, that was basically my best sports day ever summed up—because like I said, those vibes and memories? There are no words to fully describe them. Except maybe the fact that, in a few years, they’re going to bring back crazy nostalgia.Thank you so much for reading todays blog I hope you enjoyed it!

Until next time
