The O.C
Hey, and welcome back to 'diaryofanoverthinker'.So today I had absolutely no idea what to write about, and I’ve had this urge to rewatch The O.C. even though I literally finished it like a month or two ago. So, logically, I decided I should just yap about it instead.
If you haven’t watched it yet, I don’t suggest reading this. But if you have… sit back, relax, and enjoy
Characters
Ryan –
Okay, Ryan will forever be a legend because let’s be so for real, he’s insanely sassy and barely even speaks. Not to mention he had a criminally offensive side-eye before it was even a thing. Also, why is it that every single time he went back to Chino, he wore the exact same outfit? Like it was literally a Chino starter pack. (I will be trying to recreate the fit.)

Summer –
Guys, Summer is lowkey such a vibe. At the start of season 1, I honestly didn’t like her that much, but she got so much better. Her random rage blackouts were the beginning of my love for her, and don’t even get me started on her constantly saying “ew”—it was perfection. Overall, Summer was literally my favorite character because she’s just such a vibe, and I will always love the brunette friend in early 2000s shows.

Seth –
I honestly expected to like Seth way more because whenever I heard people talk about the show, they were always like, “Seth is so cool.” But guys… Seth was not as good as we were pretending. He was lowkey a bad influence on Ryan, like what even 😭. That being said, he was actually really funny at times, and overall just chaotic, so I’ll let it slide.

Marissa –
Okay, Marissa is complicated because I have very mixed emotions about her. Without her in season 4, the show just was not the same, and she honestly brought so much plot. I was constantly switching between loving her and hating her. Sometimes she was super relatable and genuinely funny, and other times she was straight-up rage bait. But honestly… she carried the show.

Julie Cooper Nichole Roberts-
GUYS, I LOVE JULIE. Okay, yes, in season 1 she was a bit… rage bait, but lowkey she was such a good character. She just rolled with whatever life threw at her and always found a way around it. Not to mention, she never failed to get money one way or another.
Sure, they had to live in a trailer for a while, but trailer Julie? Lowkey incredible. Like, Juju will forever be an icon.

Kaitline Cooper-
Okay, Kaitlin in the later seasons was actually such a vibe. She was basically a mini Julie, and I loved every second of it. She was such a diva, and I was fully enjoying the chaos she brought.
Did we forget about her for a good two seasons? Sure. But when she came back, she came back as a vibe. And I also LOVED her bond with Bullit—underrated duo, honestly.

Taylor Townsend-
Lastly, but definitely not least, Taylor who was honestly such a vibe. I LOVED her, and she fr should’ve joined sooner because she was such a sweetie. Okay, a bit… hectic at times, but still a sweetie. She was so funny, so chaotic, and lowkey a genius. I loved her so much, guys, I can’t even explain it.

The show in general
Okay, this was genuinely one of my favorite early 2000s shows. It gave Outer Banks and Gossip Girl vibes but somehow did it better. The characters were hilarious, the plot was so good, and honestly… we have Marissa’s bad choices to thank for half of that.
It was such a genius show, and I’m never getting over it. I loved every second, and I truly love it so much.
Sooo yeah that was my absolute random blog for the day, I hope you enjoyed itttt and I wish everyone the bets for February because its almost Ramdaan so this month should be way better than Jan.
Until next timeee
