TRB 2024 Pt 3(final part)

TRB 2024 Pt 3(final part)

Hey and welcome back to 'diaryofanoverthinker' today I will be making a final tar update. It will be the same as my other consisting of books I have read and books I want to read or books I wanted to read and haven't got to this year. So sit back, relax and enjoy.

Powerless series

So I read Powerless, as you already know, and then the novella Powerful, and of course Reckless. Let me just say, this series had me in a chokehold, it's no exaggeration. This book is popular for a reason. Lauren manages to pack so many tropes into one series, and on top of that, she throws in plot twists and cliffhangers that make you hate her but also absolutely love her because the plot is just that good, and you can't help but need more.

So yeah, it's safe to say I can't wait for Fearless to come out. This series is everything, and I’m hooked.

Better Than The Movies

I’d been putting off reading this book for so long, and I finally decided to dive in. I seriously regret waiting so long because it was amazing! The plots, the references, the friend groups—everything was perfect. The setting had the right vibe, and it struck the perfect balance of everything, making it so cute and enjoyable.

Then I read Nothing Like The Movies, and omggg. It was just as amazing, if not better! The plot and the friend dynamics were even more compelling. I’ll admit, I was pissed that they hated each other, but despite that, it was such an incredible book. The way everything played out with Wes and Liz was just perfect.

All The Bright Places.

This book put me in a reading slump, but in the best possible way. It was so good and incredibly underrated. It’s one of those books that reaches you on a personal level through its characters—one of those books you don’t want to end. The ending was heartbreaking, and I actually cried, but it was so worth it. The reading slump I had afterward was proof of just how amazing it was.

I connected with Finch in ways I can’t even explain, but somehow, it made everything feel even deeper. I’ll never fully recover from this book, and I’ll always wish I could read it for the first time again.

The Dreamland Billionaires series

So as you guys know I read the first book and I was going to read the rest but in time so I did make progress and read the second book. Honestly the second book was really good, it took some time to adjust since it was about Declan and I was still used to Rowan but it was still really good. Like I said before it isn't exactly the kind if books I read but it is worth it and it is actually enjoyable I just don't love it to the point of obsession like I do with all the books I do really like.

Boys Of Tommen Series

This is one I could yap about forever—seriously, ask my friends. I kept seeing this book everywhere on BookTok, but whenever I saw it at a bookstore, I’d get nervous because it’s so thick. Then it started taking over my FYP, and with nothing else to read, I finally decided to give it a shot… and became completely addicted.

Since it’s set in the early 2000s, it gave me major One Tree Hill vibes. I mean, it’s like that, but with rugby instead of basketball and a few other differences. Honestly, I think that’s part of why I ended up loving it so much—the overall vibe and plot were just amazing.

I’m only halfway through Redeeming 6, but I can't wait for the rest of the books to be published because this series is just incredible. The Lynch kids' lives, the friend groups, the classic "poor kid at the rich school" trope, and the bromance between Gibsie and Johnny—everything is amazing, and I’m here for all of it. Say what you want, but 800 pages will never be enough for these characters.

One of Us is Lying

Ok I'm gonna keep this short because you all know how I feel about mystery and this author. I have officially finished all the stand alone books from her and the whole series and I loved every second of it.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower

So this is a book I've been wanting to read since I finished the Dead Poets Society and I finally did. To be honest I'm really glad I did because it was so simple yet sent such a good message about the sense of belonging as a teenager showing the journey. Like it was short and simple but it was so good and it's kind of sad that they don't make more books like that anymore.

Well that's the rest of the books I've read fro the year. I'll probably read one or two more before 2024 ends but that's the just of it. I hope you enjoyed this blog and as always feel free to contact me at adiaryofanoverthinker@gmail.com

until next time
