Vision Board 2025 Pt 2

Vision Board 2025 Pt 2

Hey, and welcome to'Dairyofanoverthinker'. Since it’s the last Saturday of 2025, I’ll be looking back at the vision board I made for this year and reflecting on 2025 as a whole.

Honestly, 2025 has been a rollercoaster, to say the least, so writing this blog should be interesting and reading it might be even better. So sit back, relax, and enjoy!

Good Marks/Top 10

One of my main goals this year was to get an average of 83% or higher every term, make it into the top 10 each term, and improve my math mark.

The average goal is a bit complicated. I didn’t write a fiqh test in Term 1 because I was on Umrah, which affected my overall average. However, I did achieve above 83% in every other term, so I’m going to count that as a win and say I completed that goal.

I didn’t make it into the top 10 in any of the terms, but I did receive two awards at the end of the year, and my math mark improved a lot. So overall, I think I did well. I could’ve done better, but it definitely wasn’t bad.

Travel

My travel this year went and is still going so well. I’m genuinely so happy with how it all turned out.

If you’ve been following my blog, you’ll know that I went for Umrah, and I was beyond happy about it. It was one of the places I really wanted to visit this year, so being able to go meant so much to me. If you want to know more about that trip, head over to my website and read that blog.

Right now, I’m in Jordan. Even though I’m writing this the day before I leave, by the time you’re reading this, I’ll be there. While it wasn’t on my vision board, it was definitely a place I wanted to visit, and I’m incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to be here.(You will hear more about my trip when I'm back and write a blog on it)

Blog

I started the year with very ambitious goals for this blog, and while I didn’t completely fail, I do think I could’ve done a lot better. I’ve gained more followers just not as many as I had hoped and my writing has definitely improved, along with my content (at least in my opinion).

Still, there’s always room to grow, and I fully intend to do better next year.

Friends

Now, Grade 9 definitely wasn’t without its drama, but things have improved so much this year. My class feels more united, and I’m genuinely so happy about that. Sure, we’ll still have our differences, but I’ll be with these people for the next three years, and having some sense of unity really is an amazing thing.

Taking part/job shadowing etc

I’m grouping these things together because, in Grade 9, they all fall under one big category: trying to do anything and everything to figure out your future and your subjects. Honestly, it’s been a mix of success and failure.

I took part in most opportunities, and I did a lot of things I never would’ve done last year like creating a video presentation for English and speaking in front of the entire high school section of my school. I also went job shadowing and spent a lot of time thinking seriously about my future.

There were days when all of this made me feel like I had a solid plan, and other days when I felt completely lost. But regardless, I tried, I explored my options, and overall, I think I did okay ,not the best, but okay.

So yeah, that’s been 2025. It was intense, overwhelming, and a lot. Grade 9 almost broke me at times, but it also had its ups, and honestly, it could’ve gone a lot worse. Overall, I think the vision board experiment went pretty well but for next year, I’m just going to go with the flow and hope for the best.

I hope you enjoyed today’s blog, and I hope you’re having an amazing December

Until next time
